Fasting at home
Accompanying fasting at home
The support process
Support is tailored to your objectives, your needs and your state of mind (physical, emotional and psychological). Personalised preparation (definition of objectives, dietary advice, daily naturopathic and nutritional programme with exercises, physical preparation, “Buchinger-type” fasting programme, etc.) takes place well before the start of the fast to enable you to make the most of your experience, and continues after the fast to give you the keys to preserving your optimum health as part of a conscious lifestyle and eating habits.
Throughout your fasting week, you will be monitored on a daily basis with a daily assessment and tailored advice, as well as at the end of the fast in order to prolong and preserve the benefits of fasting and 1 month after the end of the fast, when a final assessment will be carried out.
Why fasting?
Whether it’s to eliminate toxins, detoxify, renew cells and boost the body’s various functions. Whether it’s to take control of your health and regain your well-being, change the way you manage and view your lifestyle and diet. Or to experience a psychic and spiritual shift in consciousness through an encounter with oneself (body and mind), etc… fasting is a naturopathic practice with many proven benefits.
Be accompanied by an experienced naturopath
It is perfectly possible to fast on your own. However, particularly for people who have never done it before, it is much wiser to be accompanied and supervised by an experienced naturopath. He/she will be able to give you targeted advice, for example, on detoxification-related events that may occur at the start of or during the fast.
On the other hand, going it alone may not be as simple as it seems. During this particular period, one of the difficulties may be managing the professional environment, if you are still working, or the people around you. During a stay in a centre, however, the fasting person is accompanied in the many activities associated with fasting and also benefits from the support and group dynamics of the other fasters.
The naturopath is also on hand to provide support in the event of any other difficulties that the fasting person may encounter, whether emotional or physical.
Above all, the accompanying naturopath is there to listen to you and to give you the personalised advice you need to make your fasting experience as successful and effective as possible in terms of preparation and the process of change involved.
Mistakes (which are often made by novices) can result in the loss of all the benefits once the fast is over, or lead to difficulties right from the start if the preparation is inadequate or, worse still, non-existent.
The naturopath is also there to help you successfully come off a fast by monitoring and advising you on how to resume eating. And he will guide you towards a global and holistic health approach, in particular through a healthy, ideal and appropriate diet.
