COVID-19, Summary of natural solutions (micro-nutrition, essential oils, plants)

Here are some natural solutions for symptoms caused by the coronavirus and for prevention to boost the immune system (take into account any contraindications depending on your current medication or medical condition and ask your doctor’s advice if necessary):
 

To support the immune system and reduce the damage caused by oxidative stress

Protocol drawn up by Professor Vincent Castronovo (expert in functional and nutritional medicine):

Vitamin D3: 3000 to 6000 IU/day (up to 12000 IU for people at risk, but with prior blood testing to avoid overdosing) to raise the status to around 50ng/ml + Vit K2 50mcg/day (to avoid calcifications in soft tissues)
Zinc: 30 to 45mg/d up to 60mg for people at risk EXCEPT in the case of bacterial infections (must be stopped for the duration of the infection)
Probiotics: minimum 10Mds
N-Acetyl-Cysteine : 1g/d (production of gluthation, a super antioxidant and protective action on the bronchi in cases of bronchitis or obstructive lung disease)
Glutamine: 1.5g/d (except in cases of cancer)
Polyphenols and antioxidants (including vitamin A except for smokers, C, E, selenium in the form of 3-4 Brazil nuts/d)
Natural vitamin C preferably 1000mg/d

 

To optimise defences and modulate anti-inflammatory reactions

Omega 3 EPA-DHA: 1,5 to 4g/day (dosage to be adjusted according to blood thinners or anticoagulants taken on the advice of a doctor)
Krill oil
Turmeric
 

To which I would add for the immune system and inflammation:

Quercetin: 500mg/d (dosage contraindicated for people with hypothyroidism)
Lapacho, Echinacea, Reishi, Maitake, Shiitake
Colostrum, especially for people at risk
Propolis
 
 

In the event of symptoms, what else would I specify or add?

Quercetin: 1g/day
Herbal teas of thyme, rosemary, mint, bay leaf, savory, organic lemon with zest, ginger, thyme or manuka honey, and eat raw garlic 2g/day in any form 🙂
Magnesium: 500mg/day
For ENT allergy sufferers, I would also add quail eggs and manganese to limit the release of histamine.
Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) to help the body manage fever and optimise the dispersion of heat through the skin by opening the pores, also recognised (anti-viral) in ENT and bronchial ailments caused by the flu virus.

As well as lots of fresh fruit (citrus fruit, kiwi) and vegetables, and as much raw food as possible! and eat 4 Brazil nuts a day. Avoid meat and dairy products

 

Health prevention: a necessary change

Of course, if you haven’t already done so, it will be essential to change your lifestyle (good sleep, sufficient physical activity, good stress management) and diet (less meat, avoid processed products, more fresh vegetables and fruit, limit gluten and dairy products, etc.). And, of course, pamper your intestinal flora, which is the key to a good immune system and good health (see the article on intestinal flora). The confinement imposed on us all could just be the right time to take the time to change these habits. Food supplements are no substitute for the basics.
 

For those who are not allergic to essential oils (suggested by Alain Huot):


****Preventive mixture for viral infections through the skin.

The following mixture should be massaged along the spine morning and evening, 6 days a week during the risk period.
HECT Ravintsara 3 drops
HECT Thujanol thyme 2 drops or Palmarosa
HECT Noble laurel 3 drops
in Macadamia OIL
 

****Broadcasting, your choice:

HECT Eucalyptus radiata 2 drops
HECT Pinus pinaster 1 drop
HECT Niaouli 1 drop
HECT Cajeput 2 drops
Place all the drops of essential oil in the water of an ultrasonic diffuser and diffuse for 5 to 10 minutes every hour.

In the event of the onset of infection, take orally (except during pregnancy and for children under the age of 7):

 

****At the first signs of infection, compact oregano capsules containing 75mg can be added orally.

These are sold in pharmacies ready for use, for example by Pranarôm.
The dosage is as follows: 1 capsule 6 times a day for 7 days, before or during meals. For children aged 6 to 10, take ½ adult dose of both the blend of essential oils to be applied to the back and the oregano capsules. Take for the same length of time.
 

Dr Jean-Pierre Willem’s aroma protocol:

As far as essential oils are concerned, it’s not just Noble Laurel and Eucalyptus Globulus and Radiata that give results; all oils containing phenols or monoterpenols can have a greater or lesser effect.

There are also :

  • Mountain Savory,
  • Tea-trea,
  • Thyme or Thujanol Thyme,
  • Cinnamon (bark or leaf),

But it’s true that each oil acts more specifically on certain organs and areas to be defended:

  • Eucalyptus radiata: the ENT crossroads…
  • Eucalyptus globulus: the bronchi…
  • Oregano compact and Mountain Savory: the intestines, digestive and immune systems…

And some oils act more globally, like Ravintsara, or more specifically against infections, like Tea-tree.

In the event of respiratory difficulties, preferably use Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil mixed (3-4 drops), for example with Ravintsara or Tea-tree (3-4 drops), and a little Calophylla vegetable oil or olive oil or Madacamia.

Massage the chest and upper back with a tablespoon’s worth of this preparation 3 to 5 times a day, changing the area of application from time to time to avoid sensitisation.

This protocol can be used in the case of any pneumopathy (70.000 deaths a year in France), or influenza.

Add to this :

  • Probiotics to strengthen the microbiota.
  • An intelligent strategy to boost the immune system.

Please note: These protocols are not intended to replace a medical consultation or any other hospital precaution deemed useful in the event of Covid-19 infections.

AND FINALLY,

The best way to protect yourself is to avoid contact with people other than the family living with you AND, above all, to wash your hands with soap very regularly! Also disinfect surfaces (computers, mobile phones, etc.) and only use hydro-alcoholic gel when going out BEFORE going into a shop or authorised place open to the public AND AFTER leaving! And above all, never touch your face outdoors BEFORE washing your hands again with soap at home.
